British Bikes 1970 began with a passion for bikes. Our team of lifelong Villiers and Greeves fans have decades of combined experience tinkering, restoring, and kitting out classic British bikes. We also manufacture and design spares and parts of classic British marques, as well as restoring original components and accessories.

Get in touch with us today and see how we can help breathe new life into an old bike, or to start a new adventure with a classic purchase of your own.

Gary Bamford

Gary, the owner of British Bikes 1970, is also a joint sponsor of the Dave Harper Greeves Championship.

A guy who loves everything Greeves. His vocation is to provide high quality spares (with advice), top notch repairs and show-winning restorations.

Each Greeves bike he refurbishes or repairs isn't just a restoration, it's a resurrection. With original Greeves drawings and a treasure trove of spare parts, he breathes new life into these iconic machines. When you choose to invest in spares from British Bikes 1970, you're investing in a legacy, backed by Gary’s dedication and commitment to excellence.

Winner of Greeves Riders Association Best Restoration of the Year 2024.
